Hi everyone,

My hair is orange and very coarse (think afro potential) and I am looking for ideas on how to make it look better. I did try a straight perm a few years ago (picture attached) but it's a lot of trouble to maintain.

I would appreciate any suggestions on my hair and anything else. Thanks a lot for your time and help!!!

Best,

Snood

I like it a lot more straight, but keeping it so will cost you some coin. Going darker will look wrong, considering your skin tone. You can lighten to blond, possibly. You'll have to ask your stylist. Then you'll have to go in every 5-6 weeks for a touch-up. Never mind the wrinkles, he's a redhead who went blond. The cut would suit you - http://www.topnews.in/light/files/Robert-Redford_1.jpg Your other option is to become a charming devil with some serious game.

Thanks everyone who has posted so far.

@HelloIDistance I'm....um....flattered, thanks.

@willpower Thanks for taking the time to give a really solid answer, I'm not sure if I'll do it any time soon but I will definitely try going blond for a change. Thanks so much!

@Stazy I think my head is way too pale, but maybe I'll give it a try at some point

I think it looks better straight...guess it's up to you if you want to deal with the hassle though.
