Second episode was good visually but I think they are still establishing characters etc for a longer series, like Sherlock this is only a 3 episode run to test the water.

There are American shows I like, for sure, but if I were to take every British show on TV against every American show, I'd say the British shows are superior. You disagree, fine. But at least back it up with something - not that your posts tend to do much but be inflammatory.

^ Haha yeah. I was having trouble deciding which hottie I preferred: blond prosecutor or Brunette secretary.

Is it common for Italian police departments and the Italian government to be dominated by Brits?

ignorant in the sense that you claim BBC shows are superior because "lessened censorship allows for more freedom"... do you even watch shows on premium cable (HBO, Showtime, Starz, etc)? apparently not. i'm not disagreeing that british shows are superior- everyone is entitled to their own opinion on that one- but saying that censorship even plays a role in such a determination is a completely ignorant statement. there are a number of great shows out there with shocking, disturbing, graphic violent/sexual content (Spartacus B&S being a prime example, Dexter while much tamer in comparison is another) that simply refute your statement.

and back on topic, the pilot for this was actually pretty good, albeit a bit lengthy. I'll continue watching as Rufus Sewell is a big draw and the show has potential.

I was hoping that they'd start introducing more hot Italian women as characters.

Of course not. Its a BBC show so they've got to have Brit actors.

In a British TV show, yes.

I guess I needed to be explicit that I was referring to network TV. Obviously, pay channel shows don't suffer from censorship. But thanks for jumping all over me instead of inferring that I was referring to non-pay shows.

All the episodes will be this long as they each cover one of Didbin's books.

Overall I think the show is pretty good, but I preferred the second episode over the first.

Yes thebox requires registration and you are required to keep up your share ratio, but if you are into British tv even a little bit, I really recomend it. It has pretty much everything from kids tv, to crime, drama, documentaries, tv-movies and even radio. It's brilliant...
