under a dress shirt is fine. otherwise as a more casual watch it is on the smaller side.

^ Yes, it's 38mm (the Mk XII was 36, the Mk XVI is 39).

I am a fan of the 42. I think in a few years, the larger breed of watches will be gone. 42 is a good, classic size.
