The Glasers don't use the St. Louis tannery any more, so they will try to match the color using their own dying processes. I really enjoy working with them--professional and enthusiastic.

A glaser deal bag is my dream briefcase. I will save for one this year (and hopefully the prices won't go up). Please do post photos when your bag is finished!

I think she's actually very talented. Not my thing, but I can definitely respect it.

I like the style of the Schedoni brief. Here are the couple that I own. The first is tied to the Lamborghini (hence the bull). The second has a carbon fiber outside with the beautiful, classic Schedoni leather lining.

For those who want to see how a bag ages:

Used and abused (cat scratches, chucked on the ground, worn in heavy rain etc.) for just over a year - Barbour 'briefcase' . Held up well.

I've not seen many in person, but I've liked the few Schedoni items I've seen, especially their classic camel/natural colored leather (like in your first pic) Thanks for posting!

I like this, too... though I don't know that I've ever seen a perforated duffle or tote that I didn't like.

What brand/line is it?

It's actually by Zara. I was looking at a Salvatore one, but she got me this before I could get the Salvatore one and I'm actually pretty impressed by it!

Very good! If you mean Ferragamo, then it's good you bought the Zara. You could buy 20 of them for what you'd pay for a Ferragamo.

I've not been impressed with many Zara bags, but recently I've noticed that they've started doing a few in full leather each season (as opposed to the PVC often used) that were pretty sharp.

In any case, yours is a nice looking bag and I hope it holds up well for you!

Yeah I know I could buy a lot instead of the ferragamo, I just liked that one a lot but I am definitely impressed with this one as well and hopefully it does hold up well! For the money spent on it, it seems to be pretty well made!

Also the thing that scared me was Ferragamo's leather seems to be softer than others or something. I've had a few of their wallets and they just seem to wear so easily before even a years wear. It's like six months and the thing would be wearing. Which worried me with buying such an expensive and large item from them. Ive had other expensive leather products and even cheap ones and it never wore as quickly as Ferragamo's did.

I've had many Ferragamo bags (six or seven), and while I like the style very much, I find them to have perhaps the lowest quality-to-price ratio of ANY major brand (next to Dior.) Cheap hardware, so-so/mid-grade leathers, and a $2000 price tag.

I don't know the quality of Lad Musician, but I like a lot of their stuff. They have really cool jackets, pants, and shoes/boots. This bag is very simple, but I think it's pretty cool. I can't attest to the quality though. http://www.blackbirdballard.com/Lad_...Bag_18995.html

Not bad! Lad Musician released a bunch of canvas bags last year which were understated and elegant. I liked them and IIRC the prices weren't too steep. I might be in Japan later this month...will keep them on my radar.
