I didn't know Breitling did a triple calender Navitimer... that's really nice.

Always found the face of the Navitimer to be a little too overwhelming to be a convenient time piece but absolutely love its presence on the wrist.

The 45mm isn't as long as the Luminor 44 - which is about 52-53mm lug-to-lug. A 44mm Luminor hangs over my wrist and a 45mm Radiomir doesn't. So, if you want a large 45mm watch on your wrist you may be able to accomodate it. I like the 42mm - the alarm is an older model and there seems to be at least a few NOS pieces around. You probably already know that there's a new ('09) 42mm Radiomir with the P.999/1 caliber in-house movement for a little over $7K in steel.

Yeah, it's called the Montbrillant Datora. The triple calendar is a ***** to set. I love the look of it, though. You're right--it's not practical for an everyday watch. I still think the Rolex Datejust is the best everyday watch. I just put it for sale if anyone's interested.

Thanks. Yup - thats the 355. Really like the 98 though, and much prefer it to the new 355.

You're right. I was thinking 3721 for some reason. Thanks for the update on the model though. I'd never actually seen the split second manual before. Don't like it as much as the standard. ET - 45mm is too big for any watch unless you've got 9" wrists. That's pushing Ed Hardy/Hummer watch territory.
