How much do you spend on clothing and shoes and accessories, etc., per annum?

How much have you spent, to date, on your wardrobe?

On a per year basis? I have no idea. Some years are costly, others are not.

Wardrobe cost? $1.5M (in total*). Monetary worth? Much less; used clothing is near worthless.

Edit: * Including adjustments for inflation. Includes inherited (hand-me-downs) and used priced at retail.

That is the entire budget for the ministry of leisure in North Korea...

Highly variable. Last year was fairly minimal, and I expect this year to be vaguely similar. Previous years have sometimes been an order of magnitude higher, while others have been even less. It depends on what I want. I'd say "need", but that would be a vicious lie...

Yeah, it really depends on the perceived "need" (the fulfillment of which typically begins by addressing an actual need, but quickly surpasses it and then continues). In 2009, for instance, I was obsessed with shoes. In 2010, shirts were my thing. You might be tempted to say that 2009 was a pricier year, but actually and curiously, it was just the opposite. Yes, shoes are more expensive on a per-item basis. But some of that sticker shock -- coupled with lack of storage space for billions of pairs -- kept me honest. With shirts, on the other hand, I went hog wild. This year I'm trying to convince myself I need nothing. We'll see how long that lasts.

You're telling me you've got $1,500,00 worth of clothing?

No, he's telling you he has $1,500,000 worth of clothing. This sounds reasonable considering he's said before that he has 300+ bespoke suits, if we assume an average cost of $4,500 each then they alone come to $1,350,000+...
