Are slim ties considered just as professional as standard width ties?
To some, yes; to others, no.

that outfit is going to be super bold. props for that. more power to you and enjoy the new year.
Thanks, I think it worked pretty well, didn't want something bank meeting boring.
Which color?
Looking to get some more pants for work(IT corp enviroment, business casual/casual). I'm interested in a slimmer fit and was looking at JCrew's slim fit chinos but was wondering if there were any other options?
BB Milano, Mabitex (Some still on B&S), Incotex. I would avoid chinos at work unless you want to look like an IT guy.... whoops, sorry.
Is there a general guideline about what pocket squares are supposed to contrast/match/accentuate? Should the play off the shirt, brighten the tie, pull together matching the shoes?
Anyone else think that red will be too red, or?
