rob. why the seam on the left of the seam task?

It is called defensive shirtmaking. it keeps the fronts a little cleaner when mediocre laundries attempt to mis-press.

the workroom that Ercole uses can produce a french front with out a top stitch.

are they really sea Island? or just 140/2?

Freddy does a very nice job.

You're right, i do think they were 140/2, the other houndstooth was sea island...

As for the defensive shirtmaking, he also put pleats in the back for the same reason. The cleaners down the block from him (that was EXCELLENT, but $5 a shirt) changed ownership and is now average.

I like their non-iron slim fit shirts and I'm on a budget. I do wish they had collars with more substance.

As for the tie, it was 40%, and it don't know if it would be SF-approved, but I liked it alot and I suppose thats all that matters in the end.

Carl who actually makes Sea Island shirting fabric? I only see that Alumo has some and are quite expensive.

Thanks guys!

I think I might prefer the last one I got, but then I haven't worn this one yet.

While Barba (at least this line) has less handwork than Borrelli and Finamore, I'm beginning to prefer them as they fit me better out of the box.

Agreed - Freddy does great work; they are by far the best shirts I own.

I'm a big fan of herringbone. I think it's best when it's slightly darker with a bit more contrast between the blue and white bones, but this is nice.
