I'm in for Brady, but just by a hair. I think Manning is asked to do much more than most modern QBs and generally speaking wins the majority of his battles. But you can't argue with the body of work Brady has put up. Despite his draft position, he was a known quantity, worth taking a flier on when you have Bledsoe in your camp. Manning maybe considered a bit of a disappointment because he was the Golden Child and was expected to do what he's done--and more.

I dont know the stats off the top of my head but I'm thinking that Peyton has been top 3 MVP candidate for the better part of the past decade. I really dont think the same can be said for Brady. And I really dont think will go over well with most, but take away SB wins all together and who is clearly the better qb? I think its easy to put too much emphasis on such a small sample

Dude, I get what you're saying for the most part. But Come the hell on. Manning could be a disappointment because he was expected to perform at a high level and he achieved that and more? WTF?

if anything he's one of the few 1st overall pick QBs thats lived exactly up to the height expected... he was drafted to save the franchise and produce a SB winner. check and check.

After this season, Brady will have 2 MVPs to Manning's three. Not a huge difference.

And there's little doubt that Manning is the media darling of the two. Something which has clearly affected your judgment.

Russell vs Chamberlain had to be winner vs supreme athlete, most would take the winner. My buddies here in Massachusetts were Celtic freaks in the 60's to present day and lived through those Celtic - sixers wars. They summed up the comparison as the most intelligent athlete vs the most physically gifted athlete.

You would have to be a moron to take Russell over Chamberlain.

There's a reason this debate has only become a novelty in the last 20 years. It's because nobody that was alive when both played would ever consider taking Russell over Chamberlain, who was the most dominant basketball player ever, including Jordan. Off the roughly 300 highest single game scoring performances, Wilt has over 100 of them. 100 Wilt Chamberlain, Philadelphia New York 3/2/1962 81 Kobe Bryant, LA Lakers Toronto 1/22/2006 78 Wilt
