i hate lands end canvas, but i picked up two oxford button downs for beater shirts. also got mine for $12. I had them tailored up and they now work fine. just take them to a tailor and you'll like them much better.

Ok I think I'll do that. I may wait until I'm back at school (I go to school in baltimore, live in a small rural town, doubt there are any good tailors around). What is the going rate to get a shirt hemmed?

I dont know about getting a shirt shortened. I have mine slightly tapered, sleeves slimmed, and sometimes I have darts put in. I pay $22 for the job, but I've seen some tailors go up to $35.

Whatever you do, make sure you shop around for tailors. I've been to five at this point and have dropped three of them. Build at an for discerning what's a good tailoring job. This is where LEC stuff might actually be good. You can use these essentially as tester shirts for finding a good tailor.

Depending on how finances work out I'm tryna cop a Gamme bleu down blazer, if not, these are both more than sufficient for my needs. I'll see you there dun.
