I saw this jacket in a magazine a long time ago. I like its A1 style thats updated with a tighter fit in the body and slim sleeves. Also check the stitching along the button line that creates something like the lines of a lapel. I think I read that it was lined with cashmere and was calf skin.

Are there any budget leather jackets one could purchase? I'm a college student looking to find a vintage, slim brown leather jacket. Nothing special or too fancy. I'm looking to spend less than $300.. I'm not too picky on the quality as long as it's not literally falling apart.

If you're going to do vintage and you're willing to go as high as $300 you might as well bone up a bit on what's good and what's not and get something of quality. Learn what old makers to look for, take your fit measurements, and keep an eye on ebay. There's a few reputable sellers of vintage leather jackets that you can score from if you learn what to look for size and quality-wise and show a little patience.

Decided I'd like to find a nice wine-colored leather jacket to add some variety to my staple blacks and browns. Can anyone recommend a source? I'd be most interested in bomber jackets or cafe racers.
