So, my five year old Nespresso has finally given up the ghost. Too many leaks. Today I have to go buy a new one. Any suggestions on which model to buy?

if you can still find one try the "top line" models, especially with the added water reservoir.

The new Citiz ones are nice.

Williams-Sonoma has a good deal now where you get a $75 credit to the Nespresso store when you buy a machine that is over $350 (I think).

Sorry to hear of your loss.

I always pictured you for a guy with a built-to-last, monstrous, Italian one with the huge handle for "pulling" your shots.

Those also have the added advantage that o call them clitties and my wife rolls her eyes at me, all of which increases the joy in our household.

I got a basic one, can have those for 50 euros , as got a coupon for another 50 off.

But the coffees got no caffeine. A real spanish bar one makes me violent and hiperactive, while those nestle ones do not.

My 10 year old Gaggia machine died several months ago, and I've been drinking french press coffee ever since, but I do want to get a new espresso machine so I'd be happy to hear recommendations.

Sorry for your loss, but this is a perfect opportunity to replace it with a real espresso setup.

+1. Matt, don't be such a smalltimer. Do you even like espresso? Because I can't tell.

I've never heard you mention your love of cappuchino's so I take it you're not looking for milk frothing capabilities. If that's the case then I'd recommend the Citiz as well. A few things they improved in in the design: Its slimmer, the cup tray is now magnetic so you don't have to hold it in place (or prop your heavy cup against it) to get it to stay up so that you can use a larger cup, and its now got a power saving mode that kicks in after 30 min, just in case you leave the machine on.

Nespresso is running a rebate of $75 in account credit if you buy a machine $249 or above. I don't know if its for new customers or not. Saving that, your best bet is Bed, Bath, and Beyond with one of their 20% off coupons. Macys and Bloomies sell them also but it'll be slightly more expensive even with one of their Home promotions.

No, since I am no longer a baby, I don't drink a lot of milk. I'm going to get the Clitty. Thanks for the help, guys.
