Please forgive the odd thread, but this has been bugging me, and I hope it can provide mild entertainment.
After a couple of martinis, I look at the Brooks Bros. web site and notice that all of the hands look the same. This is the sort of thing that I only notice once alcohol has slowed my perception down slightly. Obviously there is a lot of Photoshopping done to change the color of items while you are shopping, but to me, it appears that the heads and hands are also photoshopped on. The heads only look mildly odd in some cases, but the hands can look most incongruous. Take a look at this Fitzgerald Sport coat. Don't the model's hands look unusually large for his build? This is especially evident in the Black Fleece section. I looked at that after a few drinks last week and thought I was looking at Frankenstein's Models. It seems to me that they have one or two hand models at most, and pair them without regard for the head model's proportions.
Am I drunk or crazy? Do most online catalogs do this? Are the hands not creepy?
