Late answer, but i reckon the 875 is fairly cheap - and available most places. Also look at Ebay, i got the 3140 Chukka for 100$ including shipping.

hey mission accomplished.
i reserved my hd for good Appreciation. i got jet's pic from an arms akimbo post, so you can stop your face-saving tall tale now, dude. you can do the search if u like.
nothing wrong with 875's and gt's in my book if they fit your look, but i don't wear them atm

Some of you guys were talking about the Wabasha chukkas... Size down half a size, as the width is E (wide).

I go TTS and never size down, but I have slightly wide feet, but the wabasha are mostly E and therefore I normally size down 1/2 a size.

anyone have any experience with how much the toe box stretches in the beckman/GTs
i sized down one size bc i wanted to have the right length but after 3-4 days of wear the toebox is still clamping my foot pretty painfully.

i really would prefer not to size up .5 though.... any recs?

So to take care of them, do I only need to put Obenauf and that's it? There's different kinds of Obenauf, do I just buy the little combo set? Sorry for the newb question. I am a newb.

Thanks

How about those Frye Arkansas Mid Lace?

They are made in USA and look decent.

if your speaking in generalities, comparing one brand to another, i respectfully disagree.
from what i've seen, through ownership of both brands, red wing slays frye in regards to styling, construction/longevity and comfort, IMO.
