That's because it's a Sea Dweller, not a Submariner.

That's a cool watch. Don't know who the hell that maker is but I dig the style. Closest I could think of off the top of my head, on the relative cheap, would be a Stowa Marine Original Roman.

I came across it during random googling. Apparantly they used to supply to the British navy, thus the "Maker to the Admiralty" bit and their watches being named after British warships. It went out of business in 2000 and someone decided to assemble new watches from parts left over after the company went bust. Theyre selling them for about the same price as that Stowa i think. I was hoping for something similar under $300 lol.

I knew that much from looking at it, but is there any other difference between the SD and the Sub? I really like the look of the cleaner crystal without date cyclops.

I do not know about the more affordable part, but someone on TZ Sales forum was selling one just a few days ago. Could still be there.

Yes the SD is a thicker watch with greater water resistance than the sub

I absolutely love the cal 265 Omega posted above

I don't think it makes much sense to post a photo like that, when you can't see the whole watch.

*sigh*
"Sell for $1295 plus shipping ($25 US Delivery or $40 International via Global Express). "
Would being a certified chronometer make the timepiece that much more expensive?

Would have thought a Stowa is a bit lowbrow for your refined taste in watches?

In all seriousness, not a bad suggestion.
