Unless you can, of course.

There is not enough seam allowance to do that. Anyway, I have to imagine the whole trouser is shrunken. Merely letting out the waist won't fix that.

Err, don't do that.

Manton never left StyleForum. StyleForum left him.

That was a joke. The adding 2-3cm part.

We'll see. They already tried re-blocking the pants, but that didn't work. I'm not sure what next steps are.

I for one would find the mafoofan-minimalist philosophy more interesting if the actual aesthetic itself were minimalist. It just seems incoherent, to have all identical shoes, pants, and shirts, but then have 3 buttons on your jackets, cuffs on your pants, broguing on your shoes, etc.

If it were interesing, it would fail.

Anyway, minimalism is forever subject to the interpretation of starting principles.

I have no idea. Too much heat in the dry-cleaning proces?

Shirts can be laundered. Trousers and jackets can't.

Not enough people cared about my wife's Genovese so I lost the spirit.

Well, it's already interesting in the sense that (1) this thread will be at least 30 pages long, (2) your clothing probably stands out from the crowd, most of the time, and (3) you have chosen to pursue a particularly ideosyncratic method of acquiring clothes. If you want to dress boring, that's fine, but I think you left that possibility behind when you descended into the strange, seedy world of online fashion forums.

I don't know, though, maybe I just think longwings are ugly.
