Narciso Rodriguez for Him. Great for wet autumn afternoons.
Did I mention that Violet notes rock?

I think you two are just jealous because you'll never have as much womanity as I have. Wait, no, that didn't come out right.

When I hear the word womanity, my mind latches onto the "manatee" part. I don't think the marketing people at Thierry Mugler were going for that.

I do not recall your mentioning that, but I will certainly take it under advisement.

Today: Guerlain L'Heure Bleu, vintage extrait. I forgot I had this (1/8 oz so it hardly registered) until someone of FB mentioned it and I thought...I have this! So I'm wearing it today and it's very old-school. Violets and pastry and powder notes. Both dry and lush and thank heavens I applied lightly.

I have an irrational bias against Thierry Mugler simply because of those hideous bottles with the Church's Chicken star on them. Looks like what axe body spray would do if it had a 'high end' range.

Have you seen the bottle for Womanity? The "Church's Chicken star" would be a great improvement!

Managed to find a bottle of Baron's favorite Guerlain Derby. Are there different versions of this? The bottle they had in Sacks was kind of an inverted tulip shape. I could have sworn the bottle that I saw in the other Sax was a different shape.

Only been an hour so far but I get a leather and popcorn smell.

Trying out Tobacco Vanille... Wow that's a lot of Vanilla. I'm not sure about this one, but it's only been 10 minutes. We'll see how it lasts. Seems much too sweet for my liking so far.

We've been channeling, T. You had your Knize with my Tabac Blond, and now you have Bay Rum with my Caron Poivre. It's sort of cloves/bay rum meets Empress Josephine. Reminds me also of MPG Secret Melange, though the dry down of the Caron is infinitely better.

Google image searched and saw some bottles as well as images of the hulking man-beast himself. It all seems very 'Ed Hardy' to my eyes. Ghastly.

Patchouli 24 today. God, I'm loving the smoke and incense frags. Rock Crystal especially, which has some ingredient that somehow reminds me of the house I grew up in, which makes for a very comforting scent.

Tobacco Vanille Pt 2: After a few hours, it smells very nice. The vanilla isn't cloyingly sweet. You have to really like vanilla a lot. I do like smelling it and almost am yearning to smell more. I couldn't make this my go-to scent, as nice as it is. I would prefer a bit more tobacco.

Unfortunately, I'm reminded a bit too much of vanilla candles or my sister's childhood vanilla fragrances.

Edit: **** I sprayed another spray (only 2 total now) and I'm loving it. It's still very feminine.
