Hello guys!

I am new to the world of not being a total slob when dressing. I recently bought Stan Smith 2 sneakers in black with white soles because I really liked how they looked on me with white shorts.

I was wondering if you thought wearing them with jeans would be acceptable.

Thanks!

For the record I am 22, but prefer to come across as a 25-year old.

Why do you want to come across as a 25 yr old? Why not 24? or 26? And just for my benefit, what is the difference in the look of a 22 yr old and a 25 yr old?

I guess that's a no to wearing sneakers with jeans and I'll just have to continue wearing these with my chinos, a blazer, and a skinny tie. (I kid I kid)

I think I'm going to make boat shoes my new favorite casual shoe then. Thanks!

I may be showing my age here but I remember when trolling could be rather artfully done.

lol, guys I am not trolling I promise. The answer to the original question may be obvious to a lot of people on here, but it isn't to your average Joe. Couple this with conflicting information you find in random fashion articles online, and it becomes pretty confusing. I don't follow fashion and don't have a knack for fashion like some people. Just a noob question. Thank you all for answering.

Styleforum, and many other forums such as SuFu and Hypebest or w/e that site is called have a different view on fashion than most random fashion articles you find online. What you may find on say askmen, may directly contradicted what people say here. You must understand that everyone has an opinion on how to dress or w/e, but the only one that matters is yours. (since you're the one whos gonna wear the clothing)

also you should probably post this in the "ask a question" thread, stickied at the top.
