The eco-terrorism term is a sham that was created by lobbyists.

A recent news report about the so called eco-terrorism. Caution: there are graphic scenes of a lab technician beating and strangling beagles.

I like that video. It shows what completely irrational ass-hats these eco-terrorists are. Can't even answer a simple question.

And Eco-Terrorist is the correct word and an apt description.

Yes, but only after scientifically determining that beagles contribute a disproportionate amount of carbon emmissions to the atmosphere. His actions, though violent and harsh, are in the service of mother earth and are for the greater good.

They aren't really terrorists; more like Ecotopian revolutionaries.

..

Common definitions of terrorism refer only to those violent acts which are intended to create fear (terror), are perpetrated for a religious, political or ideological goal, deliberately target or disregard the safety of non-combatants (civilians), and are committed by non-government agencies.

Where you are free to kill people you disagree with? I kind of like that plan, actually - but I'd start by killing them, so it would sort of backfire. I disagree with SO MANY PEOPLE!!!!

They are simply misunderstood.
When the earth-friendly empire Ecotopia rises from the ashes of man's waste-laying lifestyles, these people will be looked upon in the same vein as the Minutemen of the American Revolution.

I'm sure people bitched about Paul Revere and his cohorts, too.

No. Eco-terrorists commit crimes and interfere with lawful activities (like oil companies, loggers, GM food producers and also Inuit sealers who are living their traditional ways since time immemorial, feeding themselves and trying to scratch out a living). In addition, recruiting young impressionable kids/young adults to break the law for the purpose of forcing what is nothing more than a fanatical view onto the world, and using as free publicity the photo opp when these kids are arrested for same (in an attempt to generate "sympathy" donations) amounts in my opinion to a criminal organization, for which these organizations should be prosecuted. Such organizations include PETA and Greenpeace. Among other things, PETA members have assaulted individuals, and also a federal minister. Greenpeace is based in Amsterdam (I believe) and generates $270 million/year by enlisting kids, many of whom in turn commit criminal acts (thus generating dollars through illegal acts, like trespassing and B&Es, etc.). Collectively, the activities of these organizations do nothing but injustice to the cause of sustainable development [i.e., their real cause is anti-development, not sustainable development, and they can't be reasoned with; all of their actions being towards what is in fact a frightening goal (not to mention based on faulty "ends justify means" thinking, false facts (lies) and spin)]. In turn, eco-terrorists deserve not sympathy, but condemnation by all common sense, reasonable thinking people around the world. To put it simply, committing a crime of any kind is not the act of a legitimate lobbyist, but of a criminal. See, also: http://ezralevant.com/2010/08/prosecute-greenpeace.html (Greenpeace); http://www.cbc.ca/canada/newfoundlan...sm-012610.html (PETA) tl/DR: the Criminal Code (Canada) itself (and generally) describes a terrorist organization as "any group" that, "for political, religious or ideological purposes," compels a person, government or organization to do or refrain from doing any act, causing a specified harm such as: death, serious injury, endangers life, serious property damage, disrupts public services or interferes with economic security, among other things and conditions.

Interesting that you would write that considering your sig. By your definition Ben F. was nothing more than a common criminal.
