How many gunclub sportcoats do you own, Ed?
A grey herringbone wool/cashmere for an overcoat, it's 500 grams or so, can't do heavier than that:

Going to get it exactly like the one I have now, not sure what you would call it (3roll2, flapped patch pockets, welted breast, belted back)
Cashmere herringbone is really not right for pants. Other ideas seem good.
Have you thought about a double breasted overcoat? Since switching to DB last winter, I can't imagine going back to SB....
