While a fine bespoke suit is, in my opinion, the real deal, since the guy opening this thread appears to have a budget around $400, there are many fine suits around that would make him feel a million bucks!

A four season suit is probably a light to medium weight suit that is light enough to be worn alfresco in the summer, add an undershirt in the spring, a sweater vest in autumn and an overcoat in winter.

I've seen those Loro Piana suits. Not interested in trying them on so can't comment on the fit but they are a very nice lightweight cloth with a good hand.

I have 2 J. Crew suits for casual wear. Their light fabric fits Southern CA perfectly.

I actually picked up a herringbone Ludlow sportcoat last fall at the J Crew shop in Chicago. A 38S fits me perfectly, sleeves and everything...can wear it off the rack. I got it on sale (I think it was like $150?), so that worked well. The quality is solid...nothing spectacular, but I get compliments on it and haven't had any issues...it's kind of my fall casual coat with jeans.

Not sure if I'd get a suit. Maybe one of the chino suits when they go on sale in the late summer. I like the cut of the jacket, though, it works for me. Maybe a corduroy blazer. Basically, **** I don't mind wearing to a bar...

This wasn't a very good review...

I like the cut of the jackets for the most part, but their trousers dont do it for me. I'm tired of the low rise nonsense that everyone is proud to advertise.

Low rise is a necessary evil for slimmer people like myself. Literally 90% of retailers offer fuller waisted pants. Let slim people have this one thing

Anyone else have opinions on J Crew Ludlow suits? I noticed a couple of their suits are made w/120s.

When there is nothing good to say about a suit, the manufacture can always say "it's made with Super xxx"

It's like assuming that a jacket with working sleeve buttonholes must be top quality.

I can buy three Super 180 suits on the street shops in NYC for $199, tax included and two custom shirts thrown in.
