Wingtips with the U shaped brouging instead of the W shape (what are they called?).

I agree with this. I don't even like Oxfords (or Bals, or whatever). I think shoes should be substantial, welted bluchers.

While I am at it, I believe there is nothing wrong with a button down collar with a suit; or loafers with a suit. These are two "SF Disapproved" things I do all the time.

What's FNB? I keep seeing it mentioned. Google says "First National Bank"...

You don't want to know what it is. Trust me.

Film Noir Buff

I probably agree with TaT not being SF approved, now that I think of it.

I forgot two items
peepwall[1].gif

Shell cordovan shoes. Only once or twice I've seen shell cordovan shoes look nice. Most of the time they look plasticky.

Suspenders (especially when they're called braces). Contrived. Looks fine with a tuxedo, that's it.

Hahaha. Sorry, I couldn't resist this one. I actually enjoy Foo's posts, sometimes.

Pants that are too damned short - especially on suits. It looks ridiculous.

Tie clips. They aren't necessarily awful, but I have never seen someone wearing one who would not look better by removing the tie clip.

Ultra-low-rise pants. The Britney Spears cut doesn't look good on Britney Spears, and it is downright weird on a man.

Film Noir Buff. Go to "The Wardrobe" and click on "When Bespoke Dreams Go Wrong," or whatever it is called.

Only go if you have a strong constitution. You, me and Spoo are regulars in that thread, and it is very ugly. The guys over there are douchebags of the highest order.

You have been warned.

Who approved pleated pants and tassles? Is this the 80's?
