It's one of those richer Begian style ales...very smooth with an almost creamy malt body and no bite on the finish.

a surprisingly good Jack hot toddy. got the recipe from their website.

mine is slightly altered from theirs:

juice from a lemon and a half
spoonful of honey
~2oz of Jack
cinnamon

put in standard size mug and fill the rest with hot water.

A very underrated drink. Just out of curiosity why do you use so much lemon?

Mill St. Schleimhammer Roggenbier.

It's a rye beer, it's mellow and easy to drink. Nothing special, but enjoyable. I've got too much on my mind to sleep without at least a little bit of alcohol... Just a couple more days.

Just drank an MGD (bros!!).... now I'm trying to decide from which bottle I 'take' - more Taketsuru 12, finish up my Laphroaig QC, or Balvenie DW?

Nothing fancy for me tonight. I was having a little leftover sushi and wanted something to take the edge off and quench my thirst. Given I didn't have anything in the fridge and my liquor cabinet's almost empty I went for a little Diet Pepsi and rum. May not be very complex, but it hit the spot.

Went ahead and put a nice red and a good Belgian in the fridge for later tonight/tomorrow.
