A pair by Alfred Sargent. MTO, but soon to be part of their regular offering:

^^ Thanks JayJay. Here they are on the feet:

and on the bike:

I've worn them several times, including a couple times for half hour rides in the rain. They're very comfortable and very supportive. Great for walking and on the bike. Lots of neat little details like the loop in the back. Makes it easy to get on but doesn't get caught on even a pretty narrow pant leg. Thanks again to Chay and the others at AS!

Thanks guys! Yep, Groover is right, it's the 48. I hope you do! Post pics of your shoes after some wear, G.

Is this official news from AS or are you speculating?

Bumping this thread for 1. awesomeness and

2. question: Emptym: Those MTO boots...are they hand grade or exclusive range? I'm looking to have a similar pair made up myself.

I think those are the Miller boots at Hangrade level but I could be wrong. Indeed the handgrade range could benefit from the addition of one or two boots.

I'm quite sure they would be willing to adapt the patterns to up or down spec to your liking. AS is wonderful in this regard.

Upnorth's right: Miller boot, handgrade.

Marcellionheart, here wasn't an exclusive line when I ordered them. So they might make them for you to exclusive standards, particularly if you want dainite soles.

Excellent, thank you! I'm thinking punch toe, no medallion, black or dark brown calf, dainite sole for mine. I'm hoping they do do it to exclusive standards as I was quoted around £400 as opposed to £650 for hand grades. It'll probably be a bit more since it's a boot, but I'm hoping to cobble together enough to order it for this fall or winter.
