Price is negotiable. It does have the premium package so it has the heated grips, ABS that you can turn off, ESA (adjustable suspension settings from the onboard computer), and fog lights. I also have the BMW pannier system. That was another $1,000+. But I am willing to give somebody a good deal on this so PM me if you're serious. It's in the North East, although shipping for bikes is pretty cheap. I see you're from WA so you're far. If shipping wasn't bad we could split the cost for that and I could throw in a garmin zumo 665 which is the best motorcycle gps out.

Thanksgiving Day, sunny skies, low 70s, but strong winds. Had no choice but to take advantage of the weather and ride. Spent 2 hours in the morning on the Forty Eight, and then, after lunch at a taco stand, went out on the Dyna for a good 2 hours, just totally getting lost. Just rolled 300 miles on that bike, so trying to get it broken in before it sits in suspended animation until March. Sadly, my Bonnie was cleaned up, stabilized, and covered, so I won't be ******* with it until spring. Hoping for a few good days a month this winter to be able to ride, but today was cool, unexpected blessing.

do you guys have any recommendations for a starter bike? looking to spend less than 2 G's if possible. something used and easy for me to get my feet wet.

Pre-2008 250 Ninja (EX250). There's like 900,000,000 of them on Craigslist at any given moment, and now is the time to buy. $1600 will get you a near-perfect example with no miles on it, most days for the week.

I can't justify another bike right now, but I will let my friend know - he keeps getting into trouble on his K-bike and should really consider something like yours instead, IMO.

For a new rider with some sense of caution- SV650. Flexible, lots of them out there, and you won't outgrow it.

For anyone under 25 and/or with squids as friends - new Ninja 250. Looks the part if you get the new one but you won't get into trouble with it. Remove the plastics for the first 2-3 months at least though.

If you are a cruiser guy - get something lightweight since you will be surprised what heavy bitches those things are. Off-roader/moto - I have no idea what to start with.

Dual sport or supermoto starter: DRZ-400S/SM or WR250R/X. For a pure off-road starter bike, obviously the answer is PW50 or CRF50.
