Trouser length and coat looks perfect to my eye. I agree with wearing suede monks, never loved split toes. Overall this is great, I like it a lot.
Coat's a bit short per the "rules" and trou are a bit long for my preference, but not worth fiddling with for now. Hopefully neither too boring nor stodgy.
