It's time to expand from my wrangler collection and try some "designer" jeans. I don't like the heavy fading that most designers use; what's a simple, comfortable, jean that fits a muscular body type? Need suggestions please!

3) Provide your hopes, aspirations and price range

PC Rescue if you don't want them slim. APC New Standard if you do. No artificial fading, simple, fairly elegant design. They are vanity sized and stretch a little so you need to a buy a size or two smaller than they are marked. They are raw selvage so you have to have a little care washing them, and you will have to get them hemmed. It requires a little more homework than just plain old denim, but not as much as some of the denim heads make out.

If you like the idea, but not the price of the APCs you could look at Uniqlo 'all made in Japan'. Again size down a bit, the waist will stretch out.

If that sounds like too much work get some plain dark Levis.

Lots of jeans will fit a muscular body type, but if you're looking for "simple" and "comfortable" rather than "stylish" or "high quality denim", why go designer?

I'm also of the school that says jeans should be stiff and somewhat uncomfortable until they break in and mould to the wearer, but that's just preference.
