I will post fit pics when I can. Just getting cold enough for use in Boston. I have an average to large size head (7 3/8) and purchased a medium..it fits me comfortably. I cannot imagine needing a large for anybody with a head under size 8.

I've just bought the Maine Guide jacket in Striped wool (not my usual style, but I just love the striped pattern).

I'm 6'2, 185lbs, just under a 40' chest. I bought an M as I want quite a slim, tight fit, as there's nothing worse when it's cold, in my opinion, than a slightly loose jacket letting in the chill.

I won't be layering much, either a shirt or a tee shirt when it's a bit warmer. But I'm concerned I've ordered too small. Anyone have hands-on experience?

I have a 39" chest and a size medium from last season, fit is perfect for me. However, I still have room to layer. The fit is not loose though. Not sure how broad your shoulder are, but to me a small would be a little extreme based on your build.

I've also just ordered the wool jean from The Bureau, anyone own a pair? It would be great to see some pics of them being worn, the fabric looks amazing.

On a sidenote, will someone please take my ******* bank card away from me!

Medium sounds good for a 40' chest, it's a great jacket, I love mine and wear it often.

WWM, feels its too big. Layering a thick shirt underneath. Sleeves seem urber long. Is the coat suppose to fit more like a blazer, little shorter?

Sleeves are disproportionally long on many/most WWM stuff--that DOES look a little big, but sleeve length isn't a great way to judge fit for WWM, in my experience.

Ahh guess not keeping it. Just seems too long. I don't mind getting the sleeves alter, bit just a little too big.

Just picked up an XL of a cotton WWM upland jacket from S/S a season or two ago. Would go for a F/W but I live in LA and I just won't wear a wool jacket much.

My chest is between a 42 and a slim 44. A ben sherman blazer in XL fits me perfectly.
My arms are pretty long, too -- I'm about 6'3.

Should I be worried about sizing, or do I sound about right for WWM in XL?

^ Should be fine, I reckon. I'm a regular 38 and have a S/S Upland in medium. It would still fit me if I was a bit larger.

This is probably unlikely but does anyone know of any European stockists of the hunting balaclava in melton wool?
