MT trousers & shirt fitting

Here's a shirt and trouser combo from MT. Naturally, I could not waste any time washing the shirt and wait for it to dry. I'll followup with pics after a couple of washes. My initial impressions: the shirt seems to be too blouse-y, the sleeves too short, and the collar to be too large around my neck. The trousers are better, perhaps too long. Thoughts? Yeah. Why would you take a picture sitting down and then take shots that only show the top half of the pants???

The sleeves don't look too short to me. The cuffs could do with being narrower though.

Trousers look to be a good fit. That rear shot of the shirt looks like it has way too much material spilling out of your waistband. Can you fix this with better tucking? If not then the waist needs to be nipped.

I'm hoping that the first wash will result in shrinkage.

The collar is between .5" and 1" too large, the cuffs are in a similar state. I would suggest the the body is too large, but that one is down to your preference.

All in all it looks too big, but everything is proportionally too large, so some even shrinkage could fix it.

In the first picture (sitting on the stairs) it looks to be as though your pants are way too short. They are at least 8 inches from your shoes.

They're breaking on his shoes when he's standing up, so they are not too short. Where they fall when sitting is irrelevant.

I guess I should have put a little smiley at the end of my post.

one more question... should I make any changes for button down collars? I'm guessing larger but need the help of the team ;-)

You should probably wash the shirt a few times and then see if corrections need to be made. the pants look fine to me.

I got another shirt for consideration. This has been washed once. I think the measurements in the hip require further suppression. the front looks good to me. I'm at a loss as to why the back looks as it does. Uploaded with ImageShack.us
