Normally, I insist on a zippered pocket for keys, etc., but Red Oxx is top notch and would likely be the last gym you'd have to buy....for $35.

I prefer a simple canvas bag that is machine washable to a leather bag. If you are actually using the bag to go to the gym it will eventually start to take on the odour of your shoes and dirty shorts, so it is important for it to be washable.
