It's always the liquor tab that gets ya.

Personally, a woman I was dating stuck me with a $900-something tab for her and two visiting friends at Nobu. I was young and very poor. Thank you for saving my dignity, Visa!

On the contrary, by charging that $900 I'd argue you lost your dignity.

i didn't pay, but my most expensive small dinner was probably a $2k meal for four at AOC. it was worth every cent of my boss's money.

Biggest check I ever picked up, was 1200 (mostly wine). It wasn't the most expensive per-head, but we were a table of six. The hardest part was the tip. I did the full 240, but it wasn't easy.
