20oz. Harris Tweed - How Should I Have This Made Up?

Thinking 3-roll-2 with a throat latch and envelope pockets. But the fabric is already quite thick and substantial - should I just do hacking pockets instead?

Any other style suggestions from people familiar with Harris? Curious to learn what looks best with this tweed.

Three roll three. Crescent pockets, no flaps. Single rear vent. Welt breast.

I wouldn't suggest hacking pockets...

Throat latch is good call. I prefer my heavy tweed to be on the short side as compared to my suit jackets. I find that the slightly shorter length creates a better balance since the cloth is quite weighty and patterns quite large/bold.

True three buttons can look great, especially tweeds.

I prefer a hidden throat latch--when not in use, a throat latch looks clutter-y. (On cold/wet days, on the other hand, they're really great to have.) For a three-button, I generally like a healthy roll, but not quite to the middle button.

+1. I can see where the groupthink comes from, as there are many ugly high threes out there, but a three done right can look terrific.
