Altho, to be perfectly honest, I voated for Moo (in the MC thread) simply because he has the Alden Roys. Those are my dream shoe. Are those SW&D approved?

GTs and Roys are fine. I actually liked your fit until I got to the jacket. It made the 1940/1950's urban lumberjack/stevedore homage just too literal for my liking. Plus, well, it's ugly.

This has made me realize the main difference between MC and SWD: SWDers are mostly aware of the connotations their clothing has towards others, but just don't give a ****. MCers on the other hand are just completely oblivious to how out of touch they look.

also, black dudes drive like this: doo do dodoo dodooooo *slumps backward*
white dudes, they drive like this: neenee nenee neee *leans forward*

Baron and Kaplan get my vote. If you can't do casual, then you really aren't very stylish, plain and simple. This is probably true for most everyone who resorted to insulting SW&D, while at the same time having no clue what they are talking about (hoodies, really? I don't even own one for slumming). While i'm fairly certain everyone has regular opportunities to dress casually, a large portion of SW&D has no need for suiting, so the complete inability to dress well in such situations confuses me. And I can't tell if you're trolling DLester, but Vox didn't participate.

FWIW, I do like tailored clothing, it just has no place in my wardrobe (the pieces I do own are mostly worn pretty casually). I liked the pants and coat in your fit, but I wasn't a fan of the overall execution. Also, I fail to see how one could not own a pair of jeans. I think the MC guys should post in SW&D WAYWT more often, and we'll help you guys out with this side of things (age-appropriate, of course). ******* ninja-edits.

aeglus-looking great as usual. Trying to take some ques from this guy.

Spoo-70s creeper bro....loosen up.

Kaplan-blew me away. He has the steez going full blast.

Mr. Moo- SW&D's stepchild

Great jacket

NYRAnger-best crossover interpretation of MC style

Made in California- hipster boot tuck? Really?

I'm surprised most of you think of SW&D in connotation with hoodies.

I think Kaplan gets my vote because he made it look natural. Kinda the whole point of the style thing.

Baron and kaplan were tied for second for me. Honorable mention also to aeglus, moo, niidiggy dawg, mok, nyr for his tyrone biggums mimicry, and urban comp for hilarity.

+1 artoftime gets my vote!

Without scanning the whole comments thread, I have to say the most impressive thing about the pix is that almost no one is dressing as if they enjoy doing it...It's less about having fun than trying to avoid mistakes.

Loosen up, straight guys!

Some of the wimmenz like a bit of color! Relax!

I voited nidawg for the poppy color. Also liked NY Ranger for the red cap and the ROYAL TENNENBAUMS vibe.

Honorable mention to TTO, because I like the fit of his items, but I think he told a blind person to take a photo of him with a blackberry camera.

This is the problem. No one should be voting for Aeglus, he is not MC does SW&D, he has full SW&D credentials and can put together something that will destroy the competition pretty much entirely without effort. I wear office wear about as often as I don't, and I didn't enter this - it's just unfair. So, I will not be voting for Aeglus, on the "nobody gets to pick Wayne Gretzky in the hockey pool" principle.

EDIT: Same applies to a lesser extent to Gshen.

I find it weird that the dichotomy is that large.
Is that a valid point of view over there in MC? Because this post is the sort of thing frequently expressed by newbies in SW&D wearing gucci shoes with logos plastered all over them. It really doesn't matter what people you see on the street think; odds are they have terrible taste.

We have higher standards here than the lumpenproletariat. We don't care what they think.

I apologize for the belligerance, drunk now.

Yeah or that, I guess.

The pix skillz are fine. I'm not talking about that.

I see you wearing well made well fitted clothes in coordinating colors: mid blue, dark brown, dark green and gray.

The overall effect is what you get in any mass-market men's magazine: success at avoiding embarrassment.

There has to be more.
