~≈~≈~ Is the Gucci script enough to ruin these shoes? [NEW IMAGE] ~≈~≈~

EDIT: NEW IMAGE UPLOADED. OLD IMAGE WAS DISTORTED. APOLOGIES IF YOU WASTED YOUR VOTE BECAUSE OF THE SHAPE. Here's a photo I took while I was in DSW a couple of days ago. I really love these shoes: they're dark enough to be dressy, but the styling is definitely edgy and not something I've seen before. They're heavily discounted, also. My ONLY hesitation is that I feel like an ahole advertising that my shoes are Gucci (note the script lettering on the top of the shoe), and I would ideally like these exact shoes without the branding.

My basic idea in creating this thread was that if the stodgy trads of SF don't think it's that big a deal, I will in turn learn to get past it. Also, I could just reserve these shoes for when I want to make a kind of FU im
pression (like going to a club or a large party). And I'm aware chicks will dig it just because they gush over designer ****, but I would rather not come across as a brand whore. I thought if I just slept on this issue I would realize the answer myself, but I haven't, so I'm putting it to you.
  1. Does the Gucci script by itself make these shoes uncool?
  2. Is this a minor detail that I should just live with?
  3. If it does make the shoes look douchey, is it okay, in your opinion, to have a pair of someone dbag penny loafers for special occasions?
  4. Will I have another opportunity to find a pair of loafers like this in a similar design? Are these unique?

+1 You'd be better off looking for Brooks Brothers Peals or Aldens on the bay.

Can you guys go into detail about what you mean in regards to shaping? I'm not quite sure on the difference between modern and dated. My idea was that this was a classic looking item made interesting with the blue moss detailing.

There's little to like about those Gucci shoes, but the Gucci branding makes them intolerable. I wouldn't wear those shoes if I was barefoot and had to walk through broken glass.

Correct. They have not been hit by a stray can of spray paint. That's a good thing.

The spray paint is ugly, the shape is ugly, the logo is douchy. Those are frigging ugly shoes.

The picture was taken with flash, they're a lot more subtle in real life.

Fugly. They are heavily discounted for a reason, and the "Gucci" label isn't that reason.

Though I'm a fan of the Above, Peals and aldens are only for a very select demographic while IMHO, gucci shoes cater to a much larger fan base.

I can always rely on sf to suggest "the right" thing

Ps these are horrific but I've seen lots of attractive gucci kicks in my day

I'm surprised you didn't get extreme SF gagging from the cheap looking rubber soles.
It also appear to be lacking a heel ?

I think the logo will be undetectable, and hidden by your pants,
provided you put your camera away, and simply WEAR the shoes.
