S. Coffman Sterling Gold Plated
For those who don't know how these are presented, S. Coifman
uses a box which is also a book. Open the book and there are pages
introducing the new owner to the company. When the last page is turned, there is the watch!
No, this is a post Invicta model so it's not an ultra limited edition of between 2 and 12 or
fourteen, as they once did. Before Invicta, they would go out
and buy vintage movements and design watches around them. The number
of units in the edition depended on how many movements they had
of that given type, making each watch extremely rare and a hand
made work of art.

Interesting finds, I particularly like the Vulcain. I'm not familiar with Coifman.

A few years ago I fell in love with the look of a Stowa Marine Automatic after seeing it on the forum here somewhere. The only problem is that I didn't like the look of the date box. Like this:

I contacted them and asked if they could do a special order without the date box. They said that they couldn't but that some special limited editions do come out and that it may be possible in the future.

So, I patiently waited and read their periodical emails that mentioned special editions and whatnot. Finally, my chance came but the special edition featured a rather expensive movement that was, frankly, above my budget. But I emailed to get on the waiting list anyways.

So, (as I move in TL;DR territory) it turns out that they couldn't source that expensive movement so they apologized and offered the watch with their normal (cheaper) mechanism but with the design without the date box. Perfect!

It arrived today:

Beautiful Stowa. It's nice when it works out and you get exactly what you want.

I've never seen a casio watch that I have liked before, but that looks awesome. Welcome to the forum.
