Possible upgrades to the forum?

So I just joined this forum and I've found it sorta, well, dull. A nice skin along with a few boards added would certainly make it more appealing.

Here's what I have in mind:

-Community
--News and announcements (what's going on in the forum.)
--Discussion (for suggestions, complaints, and feedback)
--Introductions and farewells

Different Skin:
At least something different and less bright. Or an interchangeable skin.
