Sounds tasty! I've never had Eagle Rare in a drink but it's so complex and bold I can see how it would work in almost anything. Definitely a fun one to play with.

I have some in my fridge right now, and it's great stuff. Hitting Odell's is so much more fun than New Belgium these days whenever I am in Fort Collins. Tonight:

Some nice fruit notes that went well with the chocolate note, which I found better than in most chocolate stouts (not as linear), finishes with some roasted malt notes and a little bit of hoppy bitterness. Wasn't a very thick drink, definitely on the sweeter side. Can't think of anything that I would compare it to, but it's definitely something most would enjoy.

Vanna Tallin: Estonian Liqueur, straight. It's lovely. Slightly rummy and tastes of cinnamon, vanilla and sweet, sweet chocolate. Next drink I'll mix it up and try it with some sparkling wine, a drink recommended to me by the friend who got it for me.

Talisker 10 year old. More peat than I would have thought, but not overwhelming. I like.

Tali 10 is great. Have you tried the Distiller's Edition?

Yea, its matured an extra two years in orloso casks and it gets a nice sweetness that balances the pepper/peat. I love it.

How much more is it? I love Talisker, but I go thru scotch so quick it'd be hard to justify (to my wife) anything more than $50. Myself, I'm trying a Negroni-esque concoction: 1 oz Fernet, 1 oz Hendricks, 1 oz Antica, splash of Trader Joe's fizzy water with orange essence. Pretty damn tasty.

Depends on where you are I suppose. Here it is $63 a bottle. I think if you look online you can get it in the high $50s though.
