Thanks for your feedback. So that's a vote for the first option posted, then?

Where can I buy a slim fitting pea coat (I'm 5'11 @ 130 lbs). I bought one from Urban Outfitters last year, but I want a diff colored one and they don't have any decent ones atm.

Good day to you all.

I just registered here as I'm hoping to start gradually altering my wardrobe to have a bit more class and refinement, something I've wanted to do for a while but just seemed to keep getting put off.

I have a black corduroy jacket which I really like but I never wear it as it doesn't seem to go with jeans, I'd rather get something other than jeans anyway so I was thinking of buying some fairly smart trousers and a waistcoat to go with it but I'm not really sure what sort of colours or styles to go for.

I read somewhere that if an outfit of a jacket and trousers isn't a suit it shouldn't look like one from a distance - so the colours should be complementary but not look too similar, but in the case of a waistcoat too should there be any matching between at least two of the three pieces?

I was thinking possibly grey flat front trousers and black pinstripe waistcoat (with the back cloth the same as the front - no shiny silk)? But I really have no idea and am totally open to suggestions.

Any advice or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

All the best,

Paul.

Can't go wrong with those, great shoes and you can't really get cordovan much cheaper, they rarely go on sale. I think you can get Ralph Lauren Darltons around $500 right now.

Yes, but Aldens are just fine. Darltons probably have a better finish.

Nitpicky point, but the Aldens are a longwing, and the Darltons are a shortwing; also something to consider.

Help pick my third AE Shoe or flame me for wanting another AE

- these shoes are primarily for wearing to work at a law firm. I typically wear suits or a nice version of "business casual."

First: Black Park Ave.
Second: Walnut Strand
Third: ???
