If anything, I want the lurkers to step their game up.

That way, once they join, they won't ask questions that have been addressed repeatedly on here.

Advice to noobers.

1. Join
2. Lurk more.
3. Do not start a new thread unless you've done an extensive search for the topic. Use both the forum search and the google forum search function.
4. Get a second or third job so you can afford your new clothes habit.

Join, ask questions and get flamed. Build up tenure and buy as you wish. Heck, you may even be able to sell a thing or three.

We have spammers with more legit tenure than lurkers.

Do it!

I believe that some of these lurkers may be people using invisible mode

Truth.

However, you can avoid much grief by exhaustively cross referencing both the forum search and google before posting anything. Learn from the mistakes of others, imo.

Just joined as well after a couple weeks of lurking...never heard of SF until i Googled some reviews for moderntailor.com, and that's how i stumbled in here. After reading thru some posts in less than a month here, i have a bad feeling i'm going to go broke soon trying to get my wardrobe up to snuff.

I've only been lurking for a few weeks. After realizing that most of my wardrobe was garbage, I sent most of it (probably close to 80%) to Goodwill about a month ago. Since then I've been trying to decide how the hell I'm going to rebuild it. This place has been a lot of help.
