Bespoke delivery in a few days: what could go wrong?

Which cloth and style did you end up picking, and is this the English tailor or someone in the US?

Things that have gone wrong for me have been small details like installing side tabs, or forgetting to sew the brace buttons. The biggest thing was putting a ticket pocket on a DB, but it's no big deal, and I've even grown fond of it, but no more for future DBs.

Knock on wood, but I'm impressed how little goes wrong seeing the tailor only once per suit.

I have never had custom-tailored clothing delivered, so I don't know. I always visit my tailor in person, the biggest danger of which is that the suspect lighting at his place led to at least one cloth colour choice that was regrettable.

Harrison all wool navy herringbone, 700g. 80262 as I recall. Could be wrong about the #.

Plain 6x2 DB, no frills except for a breast pocket. I toyed with getting a velvet collar but the tailor was down on that. I am getting more and more conservative anyway so I just got a self collar.

After fitting and Imy return home, minor issues.....pants a drop too long/jacket a little tight.
My tailor came into nYc a few months after and took the jackets back with him and mailed them back to me.
I got the pants taken up myself.

Hacking pockets instead of regular flapped on my recently-delivered first suit from Chan. Don't like them but was debating how to proceed. I got the suit a month ago and haven't said anything yet.

(Any advice? They are in NYC next week.)

The title of this thread sounds almost like a cause for insomnia. Too many possible things can go wrong that we as geeky SF'ers notice, but no one else ever would. As long as nothing major is wrong as some guys alluded to I'm sure everything will be fine.

What fabric and details did you go with this round?

Eek. Not much can be done there to fix that. I would explain the problem to Patrick and I'm sure they'll take care of you somehow.

Why would you not say anything if that was clearly agreed and they made a mistake. Email Ferdinand and explain the issue, tell him you'll bring the suit to Patrick when he's in town next week (you should do that anyway for a final fitting and make sure fit is AOK) to look at it.

My new blazer was shipped yesterday. But, even before ready, a issue happened. I had chosen for a fabric from the samples sent (and paid) to me. After ordered the blazer, they told me that fabric in stock was not enough. They offered pictures of another options. I said would not make a choice w/out feel the fabric. So, they offered new samples shipped for free. I choose, nevertheless, a 2nd fabric from the samples I had.

Concerning measurements and details, I prefer wait and see.

Is this a new tailor to you? If so who is the favoured person?

In fairness to Gordon Yao in Hong Kong he has only once got something wrong - the wrong inner coat ticket pocket buttoned. he happily corrected that.
