Bought a NWOT PL Polo from this forum and recieved it today. Not sure whether it's authentic or not. When I go online to RL website I can't find any PL polos. Do they even exist?

Thanks in advance,

Carl

They do exist. Post a picture of it including the tags/label and I'm sure someone can probably help you out

Purple Label was only on the RL website for a short time. Currently, you can't buy RLPL online save for the odds alligator belt or silver belt buckle. The reason they don't offer this is because they are trying to encourage people to come into the physical stores. After all, Ralph Lauren was the first person to turn a brand into a "lifestyle" so the physical environment of the store (of which RL does a fantastic job on in many cases) is important to them. PS I've got one that's pin dot patterned. I like it, it's a little stretchy. Nothing like the mainline polos.

I'm pretty sure all the RLPL polos are made of mercerized cotton (which has a nice stretchy quality). I've never seen one that wasn't, anyhow.

Purple Label has been available for purchase at the RL website again for some time now.

Hold up... you bought it here, in B&S? Who was the seller?

WOW, just went to the website to make sure. That's awesome! I don't know what "some time" is but it couldn't have been more than 6 months. Very exciting.

My first post was in Palatino, I would not want people to get confused and think I was someone else!

Ok so I've just been looking at all the PL stuff they have. Omg they have polos, they're under "knits and fleece".

Cool, I'ce checked them out. None looks like mine though. The reason I'm afraid it's not authentic is the feel of the fabric. Mind you, I have never handled a PL polo so I don't really know what it's supposed to feel like, but compared to my "normal" RL polos, the material is a lot thinner and rather stiff; not soft like you perhaps would've thought. I will take some pictures of it when I get back home. The seams are of great quality so I'm kind of split in my opinion. The seller was also a very nice gentleman so I doubt it's fake, but still...

Can anyone describe the feeling of the material of their RLPL polos?

Cheers,

C

Oh, and my polo doesn't have any horse of some sort on the front, nor back. Very clean!
