I spoke with them over the phone in the past week, returns are still accepted within 365 days even if it's not advertised that way. I am sure they have no problem getting back Aldens but some of the other brands they sell may changes styles seasonally and it may be better for them to not get returns almost a year later.

Yep, the color in real life is different than that of the website.

Rats, I didn't know about the 20% off working on Aldens.

And there I was, trying to save myself a penny by using the in house red phone to order, lol.

I believe so. But I have a pair of these:

http://www.leathersoulhawaii.com/200...le-grant-last/

And the toe box seems narrower to me than my Plaza's so it is often a hard shoe for me personally to wear. I am fine on the left foot but it is pretty tight on the left foot right on my pinky toe. I wear these shoes a lot now but with thin socks and hardly notice it.

Just my personal experience. Good luck.

Thanks for the help. As of now, I only have Barrie and TruBalance lasts. Thinking about treating myself to a pair of cap toe shell cordovan boots.

Dark brown is a very versatile color. I originally wanted a cap toe, but since it's on back order until Feb at ShoeMart, I treated myself to an earlier pair from J. Crew. (Part of my Bday gifts for myself

I bought a slightly used pair of Alden cap toe bals and the previous owner has nails in the rubber heel holes:

What would be the reason for this? My other Aldens (cap toe bluchers) did not originally come nailed at the rubber heels.

Not sure, but I think it would be too soon for that. Shoes are pretty new:
