The Magnoli is the Casino Royale replica, therefore a copy of an Armani leather jacket basically. Its MTM though, so if you can get your measurements right you can end up with what you want.

No complaints from me and its way better than the pics on the Magnoli website.

Mike Wolfe from American Pickers has an awesome leather jacket. He's always wearing it in the show, and it seems to look better the more beat up and scratched it gets.

This is the only decent photo I could Google on it. But its awesome nonetheless, and I'd love to know who made it.

Looking back, it looks damn similar to Gnatty's jacket.

He found the jacket on a pick. When he picked it up, it was dry, cracked and beat to hell, and he found a condom in the pocket. Don't think the owner wore it since the 70s or 80s. I think Mike got it for around $40.

I've been wanting to pick up a Panther, but I'm not sure about what size to get. I'm around a 41" chest and generally fall right at the top end of a medium, and sometimes the low end of a large depending on the cut. I've heard mixed reports on Belstaff sizing, but do you find that the panther fits true to size?

Keep in mind that the spring/summer weight versions will run a bit roomier than their fall/winter counterparts. The New Panther and the Gangster are both mediums in fall/winter weight, while I took a small in the spring/summer weight Cougar. FWIW, I'm 5'10" 165 lbs and a 38/48R. Good luck.

Lot of Belstaff being mentioned. But almost 2 grand for a coat?

Hey, can anyone share if their shoulder measurements for leather jackets are larger or the same as their suit measurement?

I just came back from the leather shop that was doing the dye job on my jacket and was none too pleased. The owner of the shop who does the work was putting the job off, and at the last minute just masked off the lining with masking tape and spray painted it with an aerosol can of leather paint.

It looked like a plastic bag. It felt like a plastic bag. When I walked in, he was busy peeling off the masking tape off the lining and it was clear that all he had done was spray paint the damn thing. The horn buttons were painted over as well.

I had only paid a $100 deposit on the job, for a total price of $250, which I had no intentions of paying full price after seeing what he did to it. When I brought the jacket in, he told me he was going to rub in a liquid dye that will penetrate and not alter the soft texture of the jacket much and that he'd only blend in a bit of a "different" color, to achieve the look I was after.

I left the jacket at the shop. I told him what I thought of the job, and that the spray painting over the buttons was inexcusable. He told me he'd remove the color off the buttons and I could pick up the jacket on my way into work tonight.

Anyways, right after I got home, he calls up and tells me he'd rather do whats right in order to make me happy as a customer, since he could see I wasn't satisfied. He's going to strip off all the sprayed on crap, and use only a liquid rubbed in dye.

I really should have emailed Ron Rider.
