Really?

That is the combo I liked more from the film but not the windsor knots.

Pretty sure I didn't say Prestige....and I did say ALMOST - At least from what I've handled. BUT given that I don't get to experience everything out there being from a ghost town known as Perth....

I stand by my views that Lobb wouldn't suit Gekko though. Unless it was the 'real' Lobb (St James).

Yeah, not bad for a City College boy. I bought my way in, now all these Ivy league schmucks are sucking my kneecaps

The product placement deals muddy the sense of what the GG from the first film would actually wear.

Gekko is old money in the sense, the man doesn't go about in a chromed Murcielago with a Breitling that's almost a second sun on his wrist. Strikes me as someone similar to my tastes, very 'British'.

Product placement is the toxic debt of the film industry. Except when its done properly.

+1 .. got your back sandgroper - Gekko's not 'old money', but as you said 'old money tastes', which is different and what nouveau riche might aspire to. Nothing to prove, no need for flashy insecurity, Mephisto to Shia's Faust.

I liked the Herems tie. I plan on getting one myself in homage to the new style rules of the New Wall Street of the new decade.

The Gekko is not British or on steroids...

He is the incarnation of the Reagan greedy 1980's culture..

I haven't seen the new one because the character never fascinated me in the first place...

Prefer Patrick Bateman...

Gekko's *tastes* are British. But he's definitely all-American!

Then again, Reagan was a Savile Row and Turnbull & Asser client.

I'm on the verge of panic as I enter Lasbar's apartment and realise it overlooks the park... and is obviously more expensive than mine.
