I would assume they are incredibly precise. How well they interpret these measurements into a finished piece may be another story. I've heard of this technology being used by Adrian Jules and have wondered the same.

I wonder if they are going to roll this out to other stores.

No. Road shows at Costco feature non-Costco merchandise. They'll partner with Costco to give discounts to members for the chance at all the foot traffic. Occasionally, they'll sell other items from the company in the store as well, like when Aidell's will setup samples for all their new flavors even though they only sell one or two at the store on a permanent basis.

Believe it or not; when you break hand-construction down by a percentage, there is more handwork in a Southwick suit (60%) than a Zegna Couture suit (45%)

If this suit looks good, for this price point, Southwick is going to do some major damage.

Yes, everything is measured to two decimals as well as shoulder and posture angles.

I thought the WSJ did a story on these scanners years ago and IIRC it was not that accurate. But then it was a few years ago.

Can you give the details? Is the handwork mostly inside or is there some outside also (pick stitching, buttonholes, etc.)?

While the unit cost is good, you have to buy them in lots of fifty suits.

Do they later check measurements with a tailors tape just in case? How about alterations after the suit arrives? Please post pics when it comes.

Doesn't The Custom Shop, "custom shirt" chain, offered a similar service
beginning maybe 15 years ago, or am I confusing the scanning with another vendor?

While I readily admit that I can't understand 90% of what Vox says, as a regular Costco shopper myself, this is the best and most funny comment of the day!
