I had the advantage of seeing the stuff irl before hearing about it on the internet. Actually, I posted asking some questions about it here (in 2007) and there was very little response, so I looked around, and the only information I found was on SZ, and that was in 2007 (first season that Alan Bilzerian had it, it started 1 year earlier). It's funny to see how revered it is now, because the reviews on SZ were mixed, at best. The main criticisms were that it was derivative of Carpe Diem, which I think to be unfounded, but there were also criticisms of fit, etc... However, the materials and construction have always been superlative. Anything they do in leather and boiled wool is amazing, that I've seen.

Like Ann Demeulemeester, it's often put in the "goth ninja" category, but it's not really, definitely not to the same extent as Julius, for example, or Rick Owens. The collection is bought that way at say, Atelier, but if you look at the collection that is bought at say, Sydneys, you can see that it can be bought much more tailored. A lot of the pieces are more sportswear, military, and workswear derived, so it's pretty easy to fit the pieces into different styles, something that is significantly harder to do with, say, Rick Owens. Individual pieces can be styled any number of ways. I mean, check out that picture of the dude with the backpack that has been quoted over and over. It's essentially a dude wearing a hoodie, slouching jeans, and a backpack.

The package I'm expecting has supposedly been out for delivery since 9:41 AM yesterday. The most recent update was "Delivery status not updated as of October 07, 2010, 11:41 pm". The post office that sorts and delivers packages does not pick up the phone, although the post office is still open. Way to go, USPS.

Could have just clicked on Search this Thread and put in ordering or purchasing and still would have gotten the same info from the latest results within that search.

What is a good ebay sniping program? I'm tired of getting robbed at the last second.

Those are, without hyperbole, the worst shoes I've ever seen.
