I think it looks pretty dandy. Purple and navy is a very striking combination imo. And the fact that you don't see much that is "matching" is exactly what makes it so good. Everything is harmonized.

dark grey, with dark forest green and/or deep purple.

For example dark grey flanel suit, white shirt, deep forest green grenadine tie and purple silk pocket square.

Also nice is navy, light pink and maroon. as in navy suit, maroon tie and light pink shirt. Like it when a light shirt has a tint of the colour that's very strong in the tie.
