I totally wanted that too, hoping it would drop but then they ran out of my size.

W.e. I shouldn't anyways.

It's just the silver chrome ones that I have that do the peeling.
The ones you got are leather.

Can't tell if you guys are serious or not, but that is a cycling hat. They've been worn by cyclist for the last 50+ years.

They are very light, very breathable, prevent sweat from dripping in your eyes, and obviously block the sun like a normal hat.

And no, I am not saying they look good (at least when you're not riding a bike).

$269 on sale. Would primarily wear with jeans.

Or should I just save up for a Wolverine 1000-mile or Alden Indy boot (which I probably couldn't afford any time soon)?

I was actually contemplating those. The last looks pretty sleek, it's got a commando sole that's not too chunky, and I'm a fan of the cap toe.

If you want the Aldens, though, I'd say delay the purchase and save up for the Aldens. Whichever ones you go with, you'll probably be wearing them for a while.

Edit:

And they fit under a helmet.

Thank you for clearing that up. I was wondering if it would be sf approved to wear them while walking around, but the answer seems to be no.
