Triangular with windows on two sides rooms at http://www.butterflyhk.com/butterfly.../en/index.html overlooking both Happy Valley and CWB Philippe Stark rooms at http://www.jiahongkong.com/JIA.html no views as such but noice mini-suites in CWB. http://www.centralparkhotel.com.hk/location.asp adjacent to HollyWood Road Park and their sister hotel http://www.lankwaifonghotel.com.hk/ which is not in LKF but NoHo. The http://www.hotel-lkf.com.hk/ however is in/overlooks LKF... and on teh Dark Side other than W there is http://www.hulletthouse.com/#/hotel/roomlist in the 1881 complex in between the Star Ferry and Teh Peninsula.

I've got the tickets to Hong Kong for November... will stay there for 3 full days from 3.11 to 5.11

Here are a couple:

For good Cantonese I strongly recommend Tai Woo http://www.taiwoorestaurant.com/eng/index.htm . They have a couple locations but I prefer the Causeway Bay one. The salt-baked chicken is the must-have dish and their other signature dishes are also excellent with the exception of the "juicy stewed beef" dish that was somewhat disappointing.

Your kid will love the steamed milk pudding at Yee Shun Milk Company, from Macau but with a few shops around HK.

my only experience with it included in-room breakfast at HK hotel... i don't know may be it was a kind of mistake, but i recieved thick soup with something that looked like long hairs (for breakfast!), dried hairs with salt, dumplings (for breakfast!) and something i even have difficulties to describe

i looked at my tray, then at my bf's tray (who happily ordered english breakfast and was teasing me with great pleasure) and then promissed myself never to deal with cantonese food at all

The coffee pudding is best, I think.

Have you ever been to Mido Cafe in Kowloon? It is an old cafe that is rather run-down but has a great atmosphere. Get the Spare Ribs Baked Rice and some milk tea. The area around there is old and interesting...good for photos.

My favorite place in Hong Kong is no longer there. The Walled City in Kowloon was one of the most interesting human environments I've ever been to. However, it was razed by the Chinese, and is now a big park. Too bad, it was a crazy, bizarre, and totally cool place. thanks, brah. been wanting to eat at tai woo but haven't gotten around to do it... will try that and the milk pudding thing out when I get back.

Also a fan of walking along the harborfront (TST side) at night, then skipping over to the island and exploring a bit more. The buildings are beautiful and stuff like the HSBC building, you really don't see anywhere else.

In terms of restaurants, I had a fantastic meal at Hutong when I was there last. Great seafood up in the Sai Kung area, as well... in addition to nice hiking and general outdoorsy stuff.
