Unfortunately, we have canceled the Sartorial Meet-up scheduled for October 15th. I look forward to meeting up with you otherwise.

There wasn't interest - only one person paid-up, and we decided to cancel rather than waiting until the last minute. We wanted to be fair to the vendors - we didn't want to tell them the night before that it wasn't going to happen.

Wow, I just saw this.
Perhaps in the future what would be better is to compile a list of members in an urban area, then send notes out to them via pm?
I didnt see this till now and would have signed up for this.

I did PM and e-mail a dozen or so local forumites (all guys I've communicated with before) in publicizing the event, but I like your idea.

I got an email from Harvie and Hudson with info about their upcoming trunk show. For Chicago: The Fairmont Chicago Thursday 14th & Friday 15th October 9am-5pm 200 North Columbus Drive, IL 60601 312 565 8000 Harvie & Hudson Shirt Makers, Hemingway Tailors and Sargent Shoe Makers So for clarification purpose, that means even though the meet-up is now cancelled, you can still see their trunk show.

Yes. Please understand that you can see Alfred Sargent, Harvie and Hudson and Hemingway Tailors here in Chicago next week. Despite our event being cancelled they all have trunk shows and everyone should do everything they can to come out and support great artisans.

Even if you just come out to meet and them and talk about future needs, now certainly is the time to visit with some of the best representatives of men's clothing.
